Over the hills and far away
Beyond valleys and mountains high
Across oceans and rocky bays
She sent her dreams with a silent sigh.
Upon fluttering wings she laid them to rest
With glistening eyes watched them depart
As her heavy heart was put to the test
Contemplating the days when they are apart.
Further and farther yonder as they flew
Into the sky towards the dying light
Through clouds where air transform to dew
Her heart plunges into the deepest night.
Till the day the twain shall meet once more
Where years crawl between in many a number
And strength drawn for a chase like never before
These dreams unknown remain safe in slumber.
